Provision of advice as to any aspect of the client’s garden.

This may be suitable for client’s who:

  • have a difficult area in the garden and don’t know what to do with it.
  • have part of or a whole garden overgrown with shrubs and need horticultural advice for gaining control.
  • have questions about specific plants in the garden and how to care for them.
  • would like advice regarding soil improvement, composting and mulching.
  • would like advice on specific pruning, propagation or horticultural methods.
  • Seasonal visits to gardens to give advice on planting developments and maintenance advice.

This process includes:

1. Garden Visit

  • Strategic discussion regarding any aspect of the garden. This can involve practical demonstrations.

Additional Services:

  • Written report with illustrative photographs and information regarding topics discussed during the consultation
  • Bespoke Monthly Maintenance Plans

 Plant Design

The Plant Design service gives an opportunity to (re)design the planting of any or all areas in your garden.

Stages of the Plant Design Process

1. Assessment

This stage includes:

  • Taking the client’s brief
  • Site analysis
  • Site survey

2. Plant Design Development

  • Presentation and sharing of initial planting concept ideas through plant mood boards and sketches where appropriate.

3. Final Plant Design

  • Agreed planting plans at a scale of 1 to 50 detailing each individual area within the garden, including number of plants and botanical names.
  • Specification for Soil Amendment will be made as appropriate.

 Specialist Pruning Service

The use of specialist techniques to carry out formative pruning, renovative pruning and pruning for special effects, with the objective of maximising plant health and promoting flowering, fruiting and overall visual appearance.

Our service includes the pruning of:

  • Woody shrubs – evergreen & deciduous, early and late flowering species
  • All types of roses – shrub, climbing, trained
  • Climbing and trained plants – wisteria, clematis, honeysuckle and jasmine
  • Fruit – soft fruit bushes and canes, small fruit bearing trees, standard and trained

This process includes:

  1. Assessment

This stage includes:

  • Telephone consultation to establish brief and requirements
  • Receipt of photographs of plants requiring pruning for identification and to assess the extent of the project

A visit may be required at this stage depending on the scale and complexity of the project

  1. Completion of pruning
  • A pruning plan will be developed to ascertain the appropriate time of year to carry out pruning according to species
  • Implementation of the pruning plan

Green Waste Removal

Unfortunately we are not able to take and dispose of pruning material ourselves but should you need it, we can recommend a garden waste material service by Mick George

You can book for bulk bags to be dropped off and then collected when full.

They will pick up other builders bulk bags as long as they are

  • not bigger than the regular 85cm x 85cm x 85cm size
  • the bag is in good condition with no tears, rips or holes
  • the bag has a grab HOOP on EACH corner
  • the grab hoops are in good condition and capable of lifting the bag

 Garden Rejuvenation

The development of a plan to rejuvenate all or specific areas of the client’s garden as required. This could involve regaining control of existing plants and identifying how areas could be improved both aesthetically and horticulturally to achieve a pleasing appearance.

This process includes:

1. Assessment

This stage includes:

  • Taking the Client brief
  • Site analysis

2. Development of the rejuvenation plan

This may include

  • Specifications for soil preparation and or amendment
  • Pruning, moving / splitting / replanting existing plants if appropriate
  • New plant design plans included where necessary

3. Implementation of the rejuvenation plan by my team or the client

Garden Rejuvenation – each project is individually assessed and the complexity, size and existing state of your garden determines the cost.

 Garden Coaching

Gardening with clients in their garden with the aim of teaching horticultural practices and how to care for their plants.

This may be suitable for client’s who:

  • have different levels of knowledge and experience,
  • enjoy gardening but would like to learn more about how and what to do, when and why in order to maintain and enhance their own garden,
  • would like to gain confidence and knowledge in order to attain the best out of their garden.

This process includes:

1. Garden Visit

  • These can be arranged fortnightly, monthly or as required.
  • Charged at an hourly rate, minimum of two hours per session.

Specialist Pruning fees are based on £40 per person per hour plus mileage for each visit of 45p per mile. If the journey exceeds 30 minutes from NN14 3BG, travel time will be charged at £10 per person per 15 minutes.

Garden Consultation fees are based on £60 per hour plus mileage for each visit of 50p per mile. £30 per hour is charged when travel time exceeds 30mins from NN143BG.

Garden Coaching fees are based on £40 per hour plus mileage for each visit of 50p per mile. £30 per hour is charged when travel time exceeds 30mins from NN143BG.

Design Fees:

Gardens are quoted for on an individual basis following an initial consultation visit. Fees are based on £50 per hour plus mileage for each visit of 50p per mile. £30 per hour is charged when travel time exceeds 30 mins from NN14 3BG .

 

Plant Designs are charged separately and the fee is based upon the scale of the planting areas agreed. Typically, planting plans start at £250-£350 for the smallest gardens.

 

Charges for Additional Services are based on an hourly rate of £50.

 

*Bespoke Monthly Maintenance Plans are priced individually based on the number of plant species included in the design.
